HISTORY OF NOSH NOOK
After 18 years of working in the restaurant industry, Nate Schultz decided it was time to realize his dream of owning and operating his own food truck. He spent many months searching thru classified ads trying to find the right set up, and he finally located a promising prospect in central FL. After contacting the owner, the two agreed to meet halfway between their respective residences which happened to be in Nashville, TN. After an 8-hour drive from SE Wisconsin, he and his fiancée had arrived at their destination. Upon further inspection of the trailer in question, Nate concluded that it was the right fit for what he had envisioned. After a hand shake and an exchange of bills, the couple jumped in their SUV and headed back home with their new-used trailer attached. It wasn’t the prettiest looking beast, but after a good amount elbow grease and some creativity, it became everything they had hoped for. Then, in the spring of 2019 in West Bend, WI, the Nosh Nook food truck was born.

With the revamped food trailer, they started attending local events like the West Bend Farmers Market, and were routinely found throughout the Washington County area at places like Shell South, Fleet Farm and Koehn & Koehn Jewelers. From there, they were invited to larger events such as the MOWA Art & Chalk Fest and the Wine & Harvest Festival in Cedarburg. And as word of the new truck in town grew, so did requests for private events like graduation parties, Weddings and Birthday parties.

In January of 2022, Nate decided to convert his commissary kitchen space into a small café where people can get their Nosh Nook favorites all year round. Located at 1179 N Main St. in West Bend, the café seats 28 people and the menu offers many of the well-known food truck staples as well as some exciting new items as well. The brick and mortar also harbors a beer and wine license where they offer an assortment of beverages for your enjoyment. They also offer weekly specials, scratch made soups and their local “Beer o’ the Week.” Stay tuned to social media for any information regarding the Nosh Nook food tuck and its whereabouts, or stop in and grab a cozy seat at the Nosh Nook café… You’re bound be satisfied either way. Quick, fresh, goodness is what Nosh Nook is all about!
